Upper Syange Hydropower Limited has decided to invest in Dobhan Khola Hydropower Limited.
According to the company, the board meeting held on Kartik 25, 2082, approved an investment of Rs. 93,137,500 in shares of Dobhan Khola Hydropower.
Upper Syange Hydropower had originally studied and developed the 24.5 MW Dobhan Khola Hydropower Project. However, due to legal complications, the company decided to set up a new entity to carry out the project’s construction.
A special general meeting on Jestha 7, 2081, had approved the formation of a new company to build the project. Following that decision, the project has been officially transferred under Dobhan Khola Hydropower Limited.
The company has already received approvals from both the Department of Electricity Development (DoED) and the Electricity Regulatory Commission (ERC) for the project transfer.
As part of the process, Upper Syange Hydropower will purchase 931,375 shares of Dobhan Khola Hydropower at a par value of Rs. 100 per share — equivalent to the total expenses incurred by the parent company during project development.
The company disclosed this information through a notice published on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE).
