Bungal Hydropower Listed on NEPSE: What Is the Opening Price Range?

Bungal Hydro Limited has been officially listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE). The company listed a total of 83 lakh units of shares, including 53.95 lakh promoter shares and 29.05 lakh public shares, on Kartik 23, 2082.

The hydropower company issued 35 percent of its paid-up capital to the general public before being listed on the secondary market. The initial public offering (IPO) for general investors was open from Bhadra 16 to Bhadra 19, while the allotment was completed on Asoj 2, 2082. Prior to that, the company had already distributed shares to project-affected locals, Nepalis working abroad, employees, and mutual funds.

Shares Available for Trading

From Monday, only a part of the public shares will be tradable on NEPSE. This includes:

  • 2,07,500 units issued to Nepalis working abroad

  • 17,01,500 units issued to general investors

Shares held by promoters, employees, and project-affected locals will remain under a three-year lock-in period starting from Asoj 2, 2082.
Similarly, the shares held by mutual funds will remain locked for six months from the same date.


Opening Price Range

NEPSE has set the opening price range for Bungal Hydro Limited’s shares between Rs. 100.88 and Rs. 302.64 per unit.

If trading takes place within this range during Monday’s pre-open session, the shares will move to regular trading on the same day.
The company’s shares have been listed under the stock symbol “BNGAL.”
