Two Microfinance Institutions Announce Dividends: How Much for Each?

Only two microfinance institutions listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange have announced dividends so far. Out of the 50 operating microfinance institutions, RSDSC Microfinance and Gurans Microfinance have proposed to distribute dividends from the profit of the fiscal year 2081/82.

The proposed dividends will be given to shareholders after approval from Nepal Rastra Bank and the respective Annual General Meetings (AGMs).

RSDSC Microfinance plans to distribute a cash dividend of 8% (including tax) from its paid-up capital of Rs. 1 arba 3 crore 40 lakh 64 thousand. The total cash dividend will amount to Rs. 8 crore 27 lakh 25 thousand.

Gurans Microfinance will distribute a total dividend of 15%. This includes 14.25% bonus shares worth Rs. 1 crore 65 lakh 8 thousand and a 0.75% cash dividend (including tax) worth Rs. 8 lakh 68 thousand from its paid-up capital of Rs. 11 crore 58 lakh 49 thousand.

Both institutions will distribute the dividends to shareholders after approval at their AGMs.
