The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has listed the rights shares of two hydropower companies. On Wednesday, the rights shares of Shiva Shree Hydropower Company Limited and River Falls Power Limited were officially listed on NEPSE.
A total of 1,47,64,000 units of rights shares of Shiva Shree Hydropower have been listed. The company had issued 100 percent rights shares to its existing shareholders. Trading of these shares will be allowed once the listed rights shares are credited to the shareholders’ demat accounts.
Similarly, 70,00,000 units of rights shares of River Falls Power Limited have also been listed on NEPSE. These shares were issued as 100 percent rights shares to existing shareholders. Like Shiva Shree Hydropower, trading will be permitted only after the shares are deposited into the respective demat accounts of investors.
In both cases, shareholders will be able to buy and sell the rights shares in the secondary market after dematerialization is completed and the shares become available in their demat accounts.
