Today is the final day for shareholders to secure dividend benefits from two Nepali companies — Sikles Hydropower Limited and ICFC Finance Limited.
Sikles Hydropower will close its shareholder record (book close) on 18 Mangsir 2082 B.S. for its Annual General Meeting (AGM). This means only investors listed as shareholders by today can participate in the AGM and receive the proposed dividend. The AGM will take place on 29 Mangsir 2082 B.S. at the Avya Club in Gharipatan, Pokhara.
The company has proposed 15% bonus shares, worth Rs. 12 crore 75 lakh, from the accumulated profits of fiscal years 2080/81 and 2081/82. It has also proposed 0.789% cash dividend for tax purposes, equal to Rs. 67 lakh 10 thousand 526.32.
After issuing the bonus shares, the company plans to issue 100% rights shares (1:1 ratio) to raise funds for new hydropower project investments.
ICFC Finance will close book closure on 19 Mangsir 2082 B.S. for dividend and AGM reasons. Since 18 Mangsir is a public holiday in Nepal, the company confirmed that only shareholders registered by today will receive dividend benefits.
ICFC Finance has proposed 15.7895% cash dividend (tax included) from the profit of fiscal year 2081/82. The company said this is its highest dividend in 8 years, and also the highest since 2074 B.S. The current paid-up capital of ICFC Finance is Rs. 1 Arba 18 crore 34 lakh.
