Sampada Laghubitta Financial Institution Limited has successfully completed its ninth annual general meeting on Sunday. The meeting was held under chairmanship of the board chairman Pradip Sigdel (Sharma) where shareholders discussed about future plans of the microfinance.
During the general meeting, the shareholders approved the balance sheet, profit and loss account, financial reports, and the annual report for the fiscal year 2081/082 presented by Chairman Sharma. The chairman also answered various questions and suggestions raised by the shareholders during the program.
In the meeting, former chairman Krishna Bahadur Thapa gave some advice to make strategies for keeping skilled employees in the company. He also requested the management to work on distributing dividend in this running fiscal year, as shareholders did not received any dividend for last two years.
A total of 135 shareholders attended the meeting, representing 52.22 percent of the total shares, which is 36,60,022 shares. Out of this, 23 promoter shareholders attended directly and 87 attended through proxy. From the public side, 19 shareholders were present directly and 6 attended via proxy.
Currently, the microfinance institution has expanded its services in 45 districts of the country through 155 branch offices. With this big network, the company is helping more than 1 lakh 83 thousand poor families. The company has collected 2 arba 98 crore rupees in savings and its total loan portfolio has reached 10 arba 70 crore rupees.
