Kathmandu, November 30 — Prabhu Bank has appointed Niraj Lamsal as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The board made the decision in an emergency meeting held at 9 PM on Sunday.
Lamsal took the responsibility after the police arrested the bank’s senior executives, including:
Ashok Sherchan (CEO)
Maniram Pokhrel (Deputy CEO)
Rivash Shrestha (Chief Risk Officer)
The arrests were made at the bank’s head office in Anamnagar, Kathmandu as part of an ongoing investigation.
Lamsal was chosen for the role based on seniority inside the bank.
