Kathmandu, December 5, 2025 (Mangsir 19, 2082) — Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the central bank of Nepal, has announced a new round of vacancies for various Officer-level and Assistant-level posts. Eligible Nepali citizens can apply online only starting from Mangsir 19, 2082.

Applications must be submitted through NRB’s official career portal. The bank has clearly stated that applications submitted after the deadline, or those missing required documents, will not be processed.

Application Deadlines

• Regular Deadline (Normal Fee): Poush 10, 2082
• Extended Deadline (Double Fee): Poush 17, 2082

Only academic certificates issued on or before Poush 10 will be accepted.

Applicants must upload scanned copies of:

• Nepali citizenship
• Academic certificates (transcript, character, equivalence if studied abroad)
• Passport-size photo
• Pre-qualification pass certificate (for Assistant post only)
• Other documents specified in the form

Providing false information may result in cancellation of candidature.

Special Notice Regarding Inclusive Categories

NRB clarified that inclusive group positions will be filled only after the necessary legal arrangements, as per a Supreme Court mandamus order linked to writ petition 078-WO-0660. Recruitment under these groups will proceed once legal standards are established.

Minimum Educational Qualifications

Assistant Director (Economics / Management)

• Master’s degree with first, second, or third position from a Nepali university.

Assistant Director – General (Open & Inclusive Groups)

• Master’s degree in:

  • Economics

  • Management

  • Public Administration

Assistant Director – Accounts/Audit

• Must have passed CA/ACCA/CPA from a recognized national or international institution.

Assistant Director – Commercial Law

• Master’s degree in Law
  Or

• Master’s degree in Economics/Management/Public Administration + Bachelor’s degree in Law

Assistant – Second Level

• Minimum qualification: +2 / Certificate Level / Equivalent

• Must also have passed the pre-qualification exam conducted by the Public Service Commission (PSC) on 2082/07/15.

Age Requirements

Assistant Director

• Must be 21–35 years

• Female candidates: 21–40 years

Assistant

• Must be 18–35 years

• Female candidates: 18–40 years

No age bar applies to current employees of NRB.

Examination Process

For Officer Level (Ads 13–15):

• Pre-qualification exam

• Subject-wise written exam

• Interview

For Accounts/Audit, Commercial Law, and Assistant (Ads 16–18):

• Subject-wise written exam

• Interview

PSC will conduct the examinations, with centers located in Kathmandu and various provincial cities for the Assistant Level.

Examination Fees

Officer Third Level

• One group: NPR 1,000

• Each additional group: NPR 400

Assistant Second Level

• One group: NPR 800

• Each additional group: NPR 300

Fees for rejected applications will not be refunded.
